A 28-year-old primiparous woman was transferred to our hospital in the left vaginal wall following normal delivery. USING THE INFERIOR MESENTERIC ARTERY FOR THE THIRD RENAL RE-TRANSPLANTATION: A CASE REPORT

A 32 year old man underwent renal transplantation for the third time. This procedure was performed in December 1994, using the kidney of a living unrelated donor. The first transplanted kidney remained in the body after rejection but the second one was removed due to trauma. End-to-end anastomosis of the renal artery to the inferior mesenteric artery was performed and the ureter was reimpl...

Inferior mesenteric artery aneurysm: case report and literature review.

An inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) aneurysm is the rarest among visceral artery aneurysms. A 69-year-old man was referred to our hospital with an asymptomatic IMA aneurysm associated with occlusion of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and celiac artery (CA). After revascularization of the SMA with an 8-mm expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) graft, the aneurysm was resected, and the IMA...

Massive mesenteric panniculitis due to fibromuscular dysplasia of the inferior mesenteric artery: a case report

BACKGROUND Fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) is a nonatheromatous, noninflammatory arterial disorder of unknown etiology resulting in vessel stenosis and/or aneurysm formation. The renal and cephalocervical (mainly carotid arteries) arterial beds are classically involved; involvement of visceral arteries is rare. Mesenteric panniculitis (MP) is an inflammatory process of mesenteric fat considered t...

A case of inferior mesenteric artery aneurysm with an occlusive disease in superior mesenteric artery and the celiac artery.

A 72 year-old man was referred to our hospital for treatment of a gradually expanding inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) aneurysm associated with an occluded superior mesenteric artery (SMA) and a severely stenosed celiac artery (CA). Using 64-slice computer tomography (CT), we were able to accurately define a precise collateral visceral circulation from the IMA to the SMA and the CA, greatly cla...
